The mission of the CMC Nurse Program is to assist local faith communities in their efforts to provide spiritual, physical, psychological and social care to their members and neighborhoods by facilitating the establishment and maintenance of the Parish Nurse Program. In doing so, the Parish Nurse program reflects the philosophy of Catholic Medical Center in seeking to respect the dignity of each human life and to preserve and cherish that life in a spirit of cooperation and charity. The CMC/DMP Parish Nurse role focuses on health counseling, education on health and wellness issues, advocacy on behalf of the client, liaison of community resources to clients, teacher and trainer of clients and volunteers and healer of the mind, body and spirit.
